Fulton Industrial Boulevard – Cascade Road – Camp Creek Parkway Streetscapes
Project overview
The Fulton Industrial Master Plan identified the Camp Creek Pkwy. and Cascade Road intersections with Fulton Industrial Blvd. as primary and secondary gateways into the District. Additionally, stakeholders identified the enhancement of these gateways with both operational and streetscapes improvements as a top priority for the District. Following GDOT’s operational improvements to the Camp Creek Pkwy. intersection with Fulton Industrial Blvd. in 2017 as part of an SR 6 multi-intersection improvement project in Douglas, Cobb, and Fulton Counties, the CID began the processes of tackling operational improvement at Cascade Road’s intersection with Fulton Industrial Blvd. and streetscapes enhancements throughout that intersection and surrounding areas, including the Camp Creek Pkwy. intersection with Fulton Industrial Blvd.
The project will include safety and operational upgrades to Cascade Road intersection with Fulton Industrial Blvd. Safety enhancements to Cascade Road’s intersection with Fulton Industrial Boulevard will mean improved access to, and safer travel through, the entire District for both passenger and commercial vehicles. Additionally, the project includes new landscaping, sidewalks, streetlights, enhanced pedestrian safety crosswalks and islands, gateway signage, and public art. Click here to see current plans.
