Landscaping: Fulton Industrial Boulevard From Wharton Drive to Frederick Drive

The Fulton Industrial CID is leading an initiative to enhance the median islands along Fulton Industrial Boulevard between Wharton Drive and Frederick Drive. The project is currently in design and will focus on four landscaped medians using low-growing, heat-tolerant plants and shrubs.

While the project is simple in scale, its purpose is important. Median landscaping helps soften a highly traveled industrial corridor, improves the daily visual experience for workers and visitors, and signals that the district is actively maintained and invested in. These types of improvements help businesses, property owners and passersby see the Fulton Industrial district as a place with identity and momentum.

The landscaping will also contribute to a more unified corridor experience. As other gateway, streetscape, signage and public-art projects move forward, these medians will help connect individual project areas into a larger district-wide effort to improve aesthetics, build community pride and strengthen the identity of the Fulton Industrial corridor.
