On Monday, May 10, 2021, House Bill 445, introduced by State Rep Roger Bruce, was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp. The new law expands the boundaries of the City of South Fulton to include Fulton Industrial Boulevard south of I-20 into the city limits.
The annexation is effective immediately, and the occasion was marked by a ribbon-cutting celebration on May 13 at the City of South Fulton City Hall located at 5440 Fulton Industrial Blvd.
The CID is looking forward to continuing to work closely with city leaders to advance the revitalization of the Fulton Industrial District through a public-private partnership focused on enhanced public safety, landscape maintenance and beautification, infrastructure enhancements and economic development.
