Americold Logistics is a leading owner and operator of temperature-controlled infrastructure. The company, which has been in business for 120 years, owns and/or operates more than 240 temperature-controlled warehouses, with approximately 1.5 billion refrigerated cubic feet of storage around the globe.

In Atlanta, Americold has a significant presence in the Fulton Industrial area where it operates five of nine Atlanta facilities. Americold is a major player in the region’s food supply chain connecting producers, processors and distributors. There are more than 500 employees working in the company’s Fulton Industrial facilities on Westgate Parkway. Being located so close to two major interstates is critical as Americold is able to attract employees from Fulton, Cobb and Douglas counties. The location is also important for Americold’s customers as on any given day approximately 2,000 trucks are coming and going from the facilities on Westgate.

Americold has been involved with the Fulton Industrial CID since its formation and several team members have been board members. Justin Queen, director of logistics, is currently serving on the CID’s board of directors. Americold employees greatly appreciate all of the work the CID has done to improve the area, especially the public safety program efforts that have significantly decreased car break ins.
