Enhancing the Fulton Industrial District
Creating a sense of place within the Fulton Industrial District is a high priority for the CID. Through primary gateway improvements and streetscape enhancements, the CID’s efforts are part of a broader placemaking and mobility strategy designed to foster a distinct identity for the area while also increasing safety for those traveling through or working in the district.
Key objectives of streetscaping and placemaking include:
- Establishing a cohesive corridor
- Improving access for workers, bicyclists and pedestrians
- Enhancing safety for all who do business in the district
Project Investments and Progress
Since the CID’s founding in 2010, significant investments have been made at the Fulton Industrial Boulevard/I-20 primary gateway and at several other intersections throughout the district.

Future Plans
The recently completed Sustainability Framework outlines strategies for additional gateway and streetscape projects. These planned initiatives will build on the existing work and continue to strengthen the district’s sense of place and promote a safer, more accessible corridor for all.
