I-285/I-20 West Interchange Project

Construction began in summer 2025 on the I-285/I-20 West Interchange project. The massive project will transform the nation’s 10th-worst freight bottleneck and greatly improve mobility within the Fulton Industrial corridor. The project will reconstruct the interchange, adding lanes along I-20 in Fulton and Cobb counties. The project also includes the modification or replacement of 19 bridges. Once complete, the project will provide more efficient traffic flow through the interchange.
