Stella Nova Sculpture
Signature Sculpture Welcomes Visitors to the District
The “Stella Nova” gateway sculpture at the Fulton Industrial Boulevard and I-20 interchange welcomes workers and visitors to the largest industrial corridor in the eastern half of the United States. Installed in 2019, “Stella Nova,” or “New Star,” was commissioned by the CID and marked the completion of a $1.8 million interchange and streetscapes improvement project that included upgraded landscaping, pedestrian crosswalks, streetlighting as well as concrete and curb repairs. The creation of “Stella Nova” embodies the district’s renaissance that has been underway since the establishment of the CID in 2010.
David Landis, an Atlanta-based artist, was selected by the CID to complete the unique sculpture, which bolsters the CID’s commitment to increase awareness of the overall attractiveness and dynamic economy of the commercial district.
