The CID has been an active part of the South Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan (SFCTP) with its leadership represented at planning meetings. The SFCTP is an update to local transportation plans as part of a regional planning process. In addition to the CID, the effort included the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the cities of Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Palmetto, South Fulton and Union City, along with Fulton County.
